Tennis is an integral part of the sport at BCC. The tennis section is run by a committee on behalf of the members. The tennis section has 450 adult and junior members. The tennis section is affiliated to the LTA and is one of 5 satellite clubs in Kent with a focus on the development of junior tennis players. BCC tennis offers a range of playing opportunities to players of all ages and abilities from beginners to performance players. The club has excellent playing facilities with access to competition, club and social play. BCC has a great deal to offer new members.
- 14 tennis courts including 6 grass courts and 4 floodlit courts
- A team of experienced coaches offering individual and group coaching for players of all ages and abilities
- Competitive tennis opportunities with teams in Kent, North Kent and National Club leagues
- Tennis Clubmark Accreditation
- A programme of tournaments including an annual club tournament and regular fun American tournaments
- A range of social events including jazz nights and quiz evenings
The club currently runs a number of men, ladies, vets, mixed and junior teams. Teams are represented in the Kent and North Kent league and standard varies according to the division. BCC has teams in a number of divisions - the highest level of county tennis is available if you are looking for competitive tennis. In 2008, BCC men won their division in the National Club League (now AEGON team tennis) and are promoted to the National Division in 2009.
